From The Artist:

"I had always dreamed of someday taking my family on the Swan Boats in the Public Garden in Boston, which I was able to do this summer with new our baby girl. Forest loved to try to chase the ducks and squirrels."

Description

The graceful swan boats of Boston's Public Garden lagoon have been a cultural icon since they first set sail in 1877.

Created by Robert Paget who was inspired by Wagner's opera Lohengrin in which a knight of the grail crosses a river in a boat drawn by a swan to defend the innocence of Princess Elsa.

The current fleet of six swan boats are 30 feet long and are manually operated by one crew member who both peddles and steers.

Up to 20 passengers per boat can sit back and relax on a 15 minute figure 8 voyage to view the natural splendor of the Public Garden.
