From The Artist:

"I've always enjoyed painting beach scenes. The dune grass and sand dunes on the Cape remind me of my youth growing up near the Indiana Dunes State Park. Forest and I have always felt comfortable on the Cape. I love painting dunes because they're always changhing, a good metaphor for life."

Description

Millions of people who are "FOND OF SAND DUNES AND SALTY AIR" as the old song goes, have fallen "IN LOVE WITH OLD CAPE COD".

It's unique shape, that of a crooked arm, is the result of glaciations. First inhabited by the Wampanoag Indians, Europeans have fished the waters and watched "THE MOONLIGHT ON CAPE COD BAY" since the 1500's. One of those fishermen gave the cape its name, not only because of the rich cod catches there but also because of the difficulty he had steering his ship through the cod dense waters.

Better known today for its beautiful beaches, summer homes and resorts, cranberry bogs and "QUAINT LITTLE VILLAGES HERE AND THERE". You, too will "FALL IN LOVE WITH OLD CAPE COD".
